Coca-Cola FEMSA will also obtain approval from The Coca-Cola Company for this transaction. Companhia Fluminense was founded 64 years ago in the state of Rio de Janeiro, when the Coca-Cola Company granted the first franchise agreement for these territories in 1949. Companhia Fluminense is present in parts of the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and Sáo Paulo, where it serves 141 cities, including the city of Sáo José dos Campos, one of latin America`s leading industrial and research centers. This franchise operates 1 bottling plant and 4 distribution centers with 2,000 employees who serve 15,000 customers and 4.5 million consumers.
